Our Backpacking Unit

ENTERING GRADE 8-12 IN THE FALL
Offered Session 2 Only

Capture the magic of the Big Basin / Santa Cruz area as you carry your own gear on a trek through the redwoods. Packers will spend two nights and three days on the trail with a spectacular view of the Santa Cruz Mountains, learning essential backpacking skills while exploring California’s coastal forests.

New backpackers welcome! All backpackers need to be in good physical condition; interested in hiking; along with providing or borrowing their own gear (i.e. boots, backpack and backpacking sleeping bag).

NOTE: If trails are still closed as of June, we will transfer all registered Pacific Packers to Tranquil Trekkers or another open unit of their choosing.

Registration includes: Camp t-shirt and hooded sweatshirt, camp patch and memory book, along with unit specific activities.
